Married at a young
age and widowed near the time with the sun returned to the Nightlund, the Baroness Voress stepped into her husband's shoes
with a seat on the council after his death. At a mere twenty she was rather young for the seat but had attended while her
husband held his place -- meekly and silently sitting in the corner while learning the way's of city government. House Voress
was one of the family's which gained its power during the time of the Veil buying up abandoned properties and defunct lands
while the other noble families fled the city. With the return of sunlight formerly fallow fields are now rich with crops and
the family coffers overflowing. Her birth house, Denakali, has fallen into ruin after years of mis-management and one would
be hard pressed to find a member of that city remaining in Kalaman.
She is outspoken, a bit snobbish, and firm with her opinions but willing to listen to all sides and seems to have the
good of Kalaman at heart with a neutral stance for all parties. Her current aspirations are to turn the city into a seat of
culture and learning rather than the current bent toward riff-raff adventures that are filling her lanes. She has a gated
town house on the Boulevard as well as a manor house a half day's travel by carriage from the city -- though the manor is
mostly abandoned due to the events which took her former spouse's life.
